I’ve been avoiding my blog – sorry! I have been so busy making tons of cards – will try to share them soon.

I no longer make or share cutting files. You are not allowed to share my files anywhere without my written permission.

The good news is I’m happy and healthy ~ AND I finally quit smoking! I started vaping instead, so I’m still addicted to the nicotine but without all the smell, ashes, taste, cost, and 4000 deadly chemicals. Eventually I will get down to 0 nicotine, too!

And again, Hween cards. For this one, I used the digital version (purchased from SU!) of the same real-life papers to isolate and enlarge the skull image and printed it out and cut with die to make my focal point. I love how SU! has so many cool digital choices now. I bought all their digital punches to make mats for some of them. You should really check out their digital selections! Even when I buy the real stuff I also buy the digi b/c it’s cheap and I can use it forever and never run out!

I don’t want to invest in many Hween stamps – I have the greetings set and the teeny image set from Inkadinkadoo and the Witch Way to the Treats from JR, but I LOVED this wheel from SU! and had to have it. Hubby agreed. So cute!

some JustRite Hween cards

And even more Hween cards! For the first one, I used a JustRite oval border, a greeting by Inkadinkado, and added the teeny spider and web using Eclipse tape and a teeny stamp set also by Inkadinkado. I colored over purple rhinestones with my black Copic Marker and it made them a cool dark purple/black – so perfect for these papers.

My “Witch Way to the Treats” set from JustRite was the first JR stamps I ever bought as well as the first Hween stamps! Loved how the pun greeting fit the YUM-YUM-YUM of the SU! DSP. Also LOVE the new SU! embossing folder!!!

glitter and flock for Hween

More Halloween cards! This year’s SU! Hween papers had a paper with the cool Spooky in the bottom. Cutting it off and heavily inking the edges made it fit a long card (about 4×9) that I have a huge stock of vellum envelopes to fit. It looked a little plain so I addeed glitter. Loved it! I used black Stickles, btw, and it took a half a bottle! Luckily I buy supplies in multiples… It still needed something so I scanned the other Hween papers I had, selected the bats and spider and quickly turned them into cutting files. I cut several sheets in all sizes. I added glitter to these, too.

This older package of SU! DSP had two odd greenish pages, one striped and one with Hween words. I have no clue what color green it was (not current or in my stash) so I brayered over it with a sponge brayer in my favorite Rich Razzleberry. It made the background sort of brown – I love the way it came out. The bats I cut out and flocked.

All the insides of all my Hween cards are decorated, too, with scraps of DSP and stamps. I’m too lazy to photo all the insides but they are pretty.

I don’t like Halloween but I sure do love the Hween papers from SU! this year and last year and even the year before b/c it was on clearance! I learned something making these. My Nesties looked too bare so I ran an olive Copic marker around the edge – which ended up looking not so neat. To fix it without restamping the whole thing, I just sponged olive ink on heavily around it and realized I liked it!!!

Am so hooked on these little $1.50 stamps from Inkadinkadoo! Papers are old K&Co from my stash – a little too pale for what I wanted but the closest to anything bright that I had. Twill from my huge ribbon stash which I just reorganized

Love this card. Stamped flourishes and embossed in clear sparkle EP on the background paper. Not sure who stamp is by (is this Northwoods?) but largest flower and bfly are popped up. Gorgeous silk ribbon from Stamp Simply!

Been working on re-organizing AGAIN to be more efficient and also started on Halloween cards. I personally don’t do Hween but most of my family does. I will admit it is fun to use the Hween colors in papers and some of the stamps are so cute…will start sharing those cards tomorrow!

Other than a few days out of whack due to sinus problems, have been stamping up a storm. Trouble is finding time to stop and go photograph and upload. Seems like am never on computer – and I love it!

Haven’t gotten a thing made – except for a bunch of messes! Am covered down the left side of my body with hot pink ink. Long story but hope it wears off by Sunday! Some days I try to be creative and I end up with cool stuff to keep. Some days not so much. This is one of those days, lol. Hubby gently suggested I put inks and refills and mini-misters away for tonight (he has to keep rescuing me from myself). So, nothing to show or tell but at least my dog isn’t pink. I don’t think…. Those mini-misters should come with a warning label for sillies like me!

All the papers, stamp, cardstock, ribbon, and embossed/diecut bfly from SU! Am loving the Rich Razzleberry color. So glad they kept it in this next year’s catalog!

My fabulous SU! demo always gives us little goody boxes when we receive our order. I confiscated this scrap of ribbon from one and remembered I had the matching paper in my stash! A quick embossing folder run-through twice, cut the YOU out, matted, layered, and I had a super-fast easy card – in a pretty dark purple! You have to just love the BowEasy for making these teeny bows when you have chubby fingers like me.

I ordered so many goodies last month that I have card-block. I haven’t even started ordering the new SU! catty wishlist b/c I was so busy buying the clearance papers. Who cares if it’s retired if it’s $4? Not me! I think it’s time to pull out some holiday papers and stamps and work on getting some of those started. Usually I just shop for Christmas card supplies in July but I’m thinking I need to start actually stamping in July…

I cut out the little medallion from a scrap piece of the pretty paper, backed it on cardstock, and added a Kaiser pearl to the middle. I popdotted it onto the card. Stamp by CTMH, embossing folder by ProvoCraft. Sentiment is heat embossed.

This is one of those that looks so much better in person but I’m too lazy to go try to take a different picture. Punch by Martha Stewart, embossing folder by ProvoCraft. Ivory 1/2″ wrinkled ribbon, Kaiser pearls, and Just Rite stamps all from Stamp Simply.
