Although for years I have had websites and ran message groups and a webstore, I’m behind the times with the whole blog thing. It’s such a great concept, though, and I can’t wait to get started!
My plans are to keep the blog as a creativity journal of my latest projects…and my main website as my central location of everything that I’ve remembered to get a picture of. Lately I’ve felt scattered all over the internet. I was making a signature line one day and realized that if I put all of me on the web on there it would be way too long. I like having all of me in one place ~ because a blog just isn’t big enough!
I chose a Christmas theme because that is where my train of thought is lately. I usually wait until August to start my holiday cards but last year that was too late. This year I started in July. I’m thinking next year I just need to go year ’round, lol. Maybe this year I’ll actually get to send some myself! Usually I just make them for others to send. I love, love, love making Christmas cards. I’ve ordered way too many new holiday stamps this year already and I don’t even have the new CTMH or SU! catalogs yet. Even with literally thousands of stamps already on hand, new ones get me so excited and motivated!
Today I did some more organizing of pix on the computer, worked on the website, started this blog, and watched XMen2 on the computer while I colored some stamped images of ”Santa with an armful of animals”. I used my new Prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and tortillons. I still don’t have the hang of shading correctly (even after all these years) but I’m determined to keep practicing.

Hi Mary…..welcome to blogdom! Having the Christmas theme is a good thing…..Christmas in July is very normal. I am thinking Christmas (as well as Halloween & Thanksgiving) right now too as to get all those cards I will need to send to the troops for them to send on home. Hope some of your blog readers will choose to help out. I have added you to my Google Reader list so I can keep up with your wonderful adventures. Have fun blogging!

Mary,
Love your blog! I really love the Santa stamp! I have never conquered all that “coloring” stuff. You have a much better handle on it than I do.
You’re so creative! Can’t wait to see what you do with your blog!
Take care,
Robin M
